I would strongly recommend Brett to everyone for his building inspection services. I contacted Brett to do a building inspection at short notice for a property I was interested in but unsure about. He liaised with the Agent and turned around a quick inspection and report on the same day before the auction was due that week. This confirmed my suspicions about the property and the quality of the building, saving me from potentially $40,000+ of poor workmanship and damage that needed to be renovated and repaired and I ended up using his services again on another property. With a building background, Brett is highly skilled and experienced at building inspections and able to identify issues in detail. I highly recommend Brett from Inspect East. Between February and May 2018 Brett inspected five properties for me before at last I found the right one.I was really keen on buying the second house he inspected and was going to bid on it at auction - until I read Brett’s report. He’d found that despite the house being only five or six years old, both bathrooms were leaking into the ground underneath. Had I not had his report I might have bought the house only to get a nasty surprise down the track. Brett saved me the cost and the stress of replacing two bathrooms for which I’m extremely thankful.Brett was able to do inspections at very short notice. Brett provided us with an amazing service responding to our last minute request to inspect a property and got the report back to us on the same day. He gave us a thorough report but more importantly talked through the report with us to ensure we understood and taught us a lot of the nuances of inspections and how to understand the quality of a building. We engaged Inspect East to provide a inspection on a 'fixer-upperer' we were looking at and the service and detail provided far exceeded our expectations.The inspection was handled through the vendor by Brett and was completed quickly and thoroughly with an extremely detailed report provided on the same day of the inspection complete with photo evidence. I am very happy that I hired Brett before finalizing my purchase. I had made the contract subject to inspection which turned out to be a wise decision. The friends that I consulted with believed that inspection is not necessary for the property as it was still under builder warranty and only 5 years old. The real state agent believed that it would be ridiculous to have an inspection! Nevertheless, I asked Brett to do a building and pest inspection hoping that he will give the ok to go ahead. Brett did a through inspection and found multiple important issue. Most importantly he realised that rain water was going under the building which can have terrible consequences if left un-remedied. He was also very patient answering all my questions some of which I guess would look silly to him since I am not an expert in building issues.One of my friends who is a civil engineer himself has recently purchased a property. When I showed him Brett's report, he was very impressed and decided to hire Brett to inspect his new home to see if any thing needs to done to prevent future issues at his home. InspectEast helped us review a place before we made an offer. Brett was very detailed, providing photos of all issues and points of notes for us. Brett was also very easy work with, and highly responsive to text messages and phone calls. The report was provided to us the night of, and then spoke to us promptly in the AM, providing clear and easy to understand. Specifically Brett picked up both leaking showers, and the water damage which had led to rotting wood in the subfloor, and also the insufficient ventilation underneath the house that had high potential to cause further water damage. We have been extremely satisfied with services from Brett (Inspect East). Instrumental in our property search, he has always been there on time, dilligent in his inspection and thorough in his report, giving us not only the confidence before making in the plunge but also the satisfaction that there has not been any hidden aspect that has not been looked into. On all the three ocassions that he inspected for us, he was available at a very short notice and was considerate to work his schedule around. Brett saved us from a disaster when he inspected a property for us which had significant water damage and consistent issues with leakage which were beautifully concealed but could not remain hidden from him. In the past few months, Brett completed thorough inspections on two properties that were of serious interest to me.
