Why It Matters

Termites Don't Announce Themselves

Subterranean termites, wood borers and fungal decay all cause real structural damage to Melbourne properties — and they do it quietly, from the inside, long before anyone notices.

  • No Insurance Covers Termite Damage

Standard home and contents insurance won't pay out for termite damage — anywhere in Australia. If termites get into the structural timber, the repair bill is yours alone, which is exactly why catching them early matters.

  • It Only Takes a 2mm Gap

Subterranean termites, wood borers and fungal decay can all get into a property through an opening smaller than your fingernail, then work undetected inside walls, floors and roof timber for years.

  • We Check for Future Risk, Not Just Existing Damage

Alongside any live or past activity, we look at the conducive conditions — moisture, poor ventilation, drainage and timber-to-ground contact — that make a property vulnerable to infestation down the track.

AS 4349.3 Compliance

Every Area a Termite Could Reach

Our pest and termite inspections are carried out in full compliance with Australian Standard AS 4349.3, covering these four areas of the property:

Exterior

We check that overflow pipes and other plumbing sit well clear of the exterior walls, ventilation isn't blocked by garden bed soil, and drainage is adequate. Boundary fences, trees and outbuildings are checked for signs of existing infestation and kept dry and clean to prevent termites finding a way in.

Interior

We identify mould around flooring in bathrooms, kitchens and laundries — a haven for termites and borers — and check for leaks from water and drainage pipes that create the damp conditions termites look for. Thermal imaging examines exposed timber for hollowness, a telltale sign termites are already inside.

Roof Void

We look for identifiable termite activity within the roof structure, check for plumbing leaks in this area, and take moisture readings to confirm the roof void is adequately ventilated and dry.

Sub-Floor

We identify waste timber or debris left behind by builders or occupants, since this can attract termites. Moisture readings confirm ventilation is adequate and airflow isn't obstructed, and we check for leaks from wet rooms above and poor drainage or blocked weep holes.

Our Advanced Technology

Pro-Grade Equipment That Sees What Your Eye Can't

A visual check alone misses a lot. We back every inspection with equipment built specifically to find concealed termite activity.

Termatrac Radar

Detects termite movement non-invasively through timber, brick and concrete using calibrated radar — no need to cut into walls or flooring to know what’s behind them.

Moisture Meters

Identifies the damp, poorly ventilated areas that attract termites in the first place — around sub-floors, roof voids and wet-area flooring — before they become a problem.

Thermal Imaging

Reads heat patterns across exposed timber to flag hollow, termite-damaged sections that are invisible to the naked eye.
